Creamline and Petro Gazz gun for a share of the lead when they collide Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The winner of their 5:30 p.m. tussle will tie with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, who tote a 2-0 card at the helm.

United Auctioneers Army and F2 Logistics, meanwhile, seek to crawl out of their 0-2 holes when they clash in the 2:30 p.m. opener.

But focus will be on the Creamline and Petro Gazz, who made their respective title-retention campaigns felt in their first matches.

The Cool Smashers needed an extra set in edging the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters, 25-22, 25-18, 28-26, 25-22, last Oct. 13, while the Angels swept the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 27-25, 25-22, 28-26, last Oct. 11.

Yeliz Basa will continue to banner Creamline following her 17-point production against PLDT, but the Cool Smashers boast of their depth with Alyssa Valdez, Ced Domingo and Jema Galanza at the forefront of their attack.

Valdez, Domingo and Galanza also finished in double figures the last time.

The presence of Jia De Guzman also poses a threat for Creamline after the veteran setter made 32 of the team’s 34 excellent sets against the Power Hitters.

But Petro Gazz also has its own arsenal in import Lindsey Vander Weide, who sizzled with 25 points against Choco Mucho that included 20 kills and three blocks.

The Angels will match up the Cool Smashers’ frontline in Jonah Sabete, Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips.
