Petro Gazz and Creamline stake their unbeaten runs Wednesday when they square off in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Match is at 6 p.m. with the Angels and the Cool Smashers seeking their third straight win in as many outings.

Petro Gazz is fresh from a 25-22, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18 victory over PLDT two days back, the same day Creamline swept BaliPure, 25-12, 25-21, 25-16.

The dynamic duo of MJ Phillips and Nicole Tiamzon, who teamed up for 23 points the last time, will be put to test against Creamline’s Alyssa Valdez and Tots Carlos.

But equally exciting will be the battle of reinforcements, with Phillips and Tiamzon banking on the support of Jonah Sabete, Aiza Pontillas, Grethcel Soltones and Chie Saet, while Valdez and Carlos lean on fellow Cool Smashers Jeanette Panaga, Jema Galanza, Celine Domingo and Jia De Guzman.

Meanwhile, BaliPure and PLDT try to erase the stigma of their losses when they collide at 3 p.m.

Both teams tote 0-2 cards and are eager to crawl out of the cellar to boost their bids.

The Water Defenders, though, have to toughen up their serves after failing to convert an ace on all 51 serves against Creamline.

The Power Hitters, for their part, needed to limit their errors after giving up 36 points the last time.
