The Team Pacquiao GG-backed squad set the tone for the sweep with a stunning 17-3 Game 1 win before it came through with a thrilling 19-15 win in the series clincher.

UDG caught the Horizon Cup 3rd-4th placers off-guard in the series opener as the top team in the qualifiers rode a 3-0 start and never looked back in the Game 1 win. UDG took full control of the map as it neutralized the explosive late game of Team Secret to draw the series’ first blood.

Mitsura led the attack using his Fizz with a 14.00 KDA ratio on an 82 percent kill participation and 25k damage dealt.

Team Secret came alive in the Game 2 as it quickly raced to an 8-3 start and built a sizeable lead in terms of the economy. UDG, though, refusing to go down without a fight slowly came back to the game after some pick offs on key champions on the side of Team Secret.

A quadrakill from Sayonara’s Rengar in a near the river at the 13-min mark ultimately turned the tides to UDG’s favor. Team Secret was answer back with its own four-man kills after a clash at the bottom lane but UDG’s own four-man pick off in the next team fight bear more weight as it allowed the squad to secure the Baron Nashor.

UDG prevailed in the tight contest, 19-15, to complete the what would be the greatest upset of the tournament so far. Sayonara impressed in his debut with an 8.5 KDA ratio on 89 percent KP and 31K damage dealt.

Meanwhile, in the earlier match Fennel Adversity showed might when it utterly destroyed Cerebrum Wildrift with a 2-0 sweep.

A flawless 20-0 Game 1 win crushed the spirits of Cerebrum which struggled to find its bearings going in the two-game stretch. It tried to control the game with a slower pace in Game 2 evident in the low scoring 10-3 tally.

Fennel, however, still prevailed as it scored a team ace at the 18 min mark to end the series
