Bren Esports was quick to lick its wounds as it faces another huge challenge, this time against Onic Philippines just less than 24 hours after its tough 2-0 sweep loss at the hands of RSG Philippines on Friday, Feb. 25.

Bren coach Paulo “Puloxpert” Munsayac said there’s no time for his wards to be down after the tough loss as they still have two more games to play this week, starting with a clash against Onic followed by match against Nexplay Evos on Sunday.

“We need to keep our heads up kapag nag-give up kami kaagad then walang point. What’s the point of giving up right away,” said Coach Pau during the team’s post game presser.

The rookie coach however admitted that there were some lapses on their part during the match especially his team’s execution during the crucial fights. He even noted that it doesn’t look like his players were playing the way they used to based on the team’s performance against RSG.

“I would say na confident ako sa draft ko kanina, both games super confident ako. Tingin ko execution (may problem), di naman sa bini-blame ko yung players ko. It’s not them eh pinapanood ko hindi sila ganun maglaro. We’re gonna try figure something out,” he added.

Team captain Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel confessed that the squad indeed felt a bit lost during the team fights.

“Naguguluhan ako nung laro na ‘yon eh. Nung early di ko alam kung lamang kami o ano kasi parang pilit lahat ng play na nangyayari, pagkuha ng objectives, parang pilit,” he admitted.

Nonetheless, Coach Pau offered words of encouragement for his wards especially that it’s still to early in the season for them to be giving up.

“Mahaba pa naman yung season may second go pa sa round robin. Ang mindset dapat is bawi na lang even though syempre, masakit na natatalo pero walang gagawin kung mag gigive-up ka nalang,” he added.
