Fnatic’s big win forced a three-way tie for the second spot of the standings while also denying T1 a shot at contending for the top spot in the process. With Armel leading the squad, Fnatic improved to a 5-2 record, tied with both T1 and Team SMG, and can still clinch the second seed if it come out on top in the tiebreaker.

The veteran carry unloaded a 7-0-6 KDA on his Kunkka and joined hands with Marco Polo “Raven” Fausto’s Morphling which also posted a 7-0-6 line to power Fnatic’s lopsided 18-8 win.

T1, though refused to go down without a fight as it returned the favor in Game 2. Karl “Karl” Jayme spearheaded the attack with a 13-3-13 showing to stop Fnatic on its track, 36-16, and force the deciding Game 3.

Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and Kenny “Xepher” Deo also came alive in Game 2 with 7-1-19 and 6-3-19 score lines on the Faceless Void and the Dark Willow respectively.

The crew, however, cooled down in the winner-take-all as Armel once again carried his squad on his shoulder with an impeccable 11-0-4 showing on the Lina. Raven provided support with a 5-1-9 line on the Monkey King as Fnatic dominated T1, 24-9.

Although the supposed Winter Major is already cancelled, the seeding remains important with three teams especially with an assured $28,000 and 180 DPC points awaiting the second place team. The third and fourth placers, meanwhile, will get $27,000 and $26,000 respectively along with 120 and 60 DPC points.
