Blacklist International bounced back huge from its upper bracket loss as it survived Onic Esports in a three-game thriller, 2-1, to send the MPL Indonesia champions packing in the lower bracket of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang: M3 World Championship at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre on Tuesday, Dec. 14.

Kiel “Oheb” Soriano stepped up in the biggest game of Blacklist so far as he unleashed a perfect 5-0-0 in the do-or-die Game 3. The PH bets shut down the greedy late game lineup of the Indonesians anchored on the Cecilion and Clint as Salic “Hadji” Imam’s Pharsa and Jonmar “OhmyV33nus” Villaluna dictated the early game tempo.
Blacklist then suffocated Onic ID as the Filipinos took full control of the jungle to dismantle the Indonesians in the final game, 7-1, and avenge its Grand Finals loss in the MPL Invitational last month.
Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza’s drafting prowess was also in full display as the surprise Lapu-Lapu pick of Edward “Edward” Dapadap gave the Onic backlines continuous threat during team fight.

The same formula worked to perfection for Blacklist in the series opener as Bon Chan had shock pick with Edward’s Uranus. Edward held the fort together with Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario’s Barats, enabling Oheb on the Beatrix to reach his power spike and dominate the team fights.
Oheb finished with a 9-1-3 KDA while Hadji provided support on the Kagura with a 4-3-6 KDA including a crucial Yin-Yan overturn in the turtle clash at the six-minute mark to give Blacklist the control of Game 1 and won the first point 17-13.

Blacklist had the chance to close-out the series in the second game as the mid-game power spike of the jungle Kimmy and gold lane Beatrix proved to be a huge problem for Onic ID.
Banking on its Pharsa and Esmeralda picks, Onic ID managed to drag the game to the late game allowing its own double-marksman setup on Gilang “Sanz” jungle Natan and CW’s Clint to take over. Onic forced the decider after a 9-7 comeback.

With the win, Blacklist moved on to the best-of-five third round lower bracket match against the winner of Vivo Keyd and Bedel match.
