AICC Manila and Davao Occidental Tigers-Cocolife toppled their rivals Saturday to remain at the helm in the FilBasket Subic Championship at the Subic Gym Saturday.

AICC Manila blasted the Nueva Ecija Besprens, 94-82, while Davao Occidental squeaked past 7A Primus, 86-83, to improve their win-loss marks to 5-1 on top.

Michael Juico and Ronjay Buenafe steered AICC Manila with 19 points each as they dictated the tempo for most parts of the game.

Nueva Ecija skidded to 3-3 despite Rens Palma and Jeric Nacpil scoring 24 and 18 points.

Davao Occidental, meanwhile, banked on Billy Ray Robles’ jump shot in the last 6:15 of the game to untie them from a 69-all count and set the tone throughout.

Diego Dario fired a buzzer-beating triple with hopes of sending the game into overtime, but missed.

Robby Celiz finished with 21 points and six boards, Emmanuel Calo chipped in 12 points, and Gab Dagangon contributed 11 points for Davao Occidental.

Dario erupted for 27 points in a losing effort for 7A Primus, who fell to 2-4.

In the nightcap, Pasig Sta. Lucia Realtors routed Burlington EOG Sports, 72-58, for 2-3.

Cedrick Ablaza scored 18 points and seven rebounds while Jeckster Apinan had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Realtors.

Burlington slipped to 3-3 with Byron Villarias becoming the lone double-digit scorer with 10 points.
