NorthPort secured a best-of-three quarterfinal duel with San Miguel Beer while giving defending champion Barangay Ginebra a lifeline after crushing Alaska, 122-94, to conclude the PBA Philippine Cup eliminations at the Don Honorio Ventura State University in Bacolor, Pampanga.

Robert Bolick delivered the first triple-double since November with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists as the Batang Pier locked up the No. 5 seed and the right to face the Beermen in the quarters.

The Batang Pier’s win also sent the Gin Kings, who earlier lost to the Meralco Bolts, to a playoff for the eighth and final quarterfinals berth against the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Alaska, already eliminated from the quarters race going into the match, ended its Philippine Cup campaign with a 3-8 record.
