Carlo Biado

Carlo Biado captured one of the biggest events in pool after charging back to beat Singapore’s Aloysius Yapp, 13-8, and win the US Open Pool Championship at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The former world champion and multi-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist rallied from 8-3 down by taking the next 10 racks and join the great Efren “Bata” Reyes as the only Filipino pool players to rule the prestigious 9-ball competition.

Biado defeated Yapp, who made his way to the final with an 11-6 win over Dennis Orcollo in the semifinals despite being down 3-0 and 5-2 in the early stages.
